We believe that education should be accessible to all hairdressers, and are excited to offer the following classes to the public for 2018. Please read all booking information, as some classes book directly though the education team, and not The Hive Salon. All ticket sales are final.
10/14 & 10/15
Classes begin promptly at 10am and run until 4pm
The Curly Method is designed to educate the stylist on how to translate their existing wet haircutting foundations to dry curl-by-curl cutting for curly and highly textured hair. To support the Curly Method fully, there will be a portion of each demo and hands-on segment focused on styling curly hair, and client maintenance for their texture. This class is designed for hairdressers looking to gain confidence and proficiency in haircutting for curly hair. You will gain a better understanding of why curly hair is unique in its patterns and behaviors, and how to approach each texture differently to compensate for its needs. This extended format will allow the stylist the ability to see the three foundational shapes in haircutting applied to four unique textures of hair, ranging from wavy to tightly coiled hair textures, all while the hair is dry for ultimate control. This two day will cover the three foundational shapes in haircutting- translated to curly hair, as well as creative shapes and disconnection.
Day One: Theory, demos on two unique textures of curls, and two hands on sessions
Day Two: Theory, demos on two unique textures of curls, and two hands on sessions
